Never guess a delivery date again.
Planymatic simulates your team's real project timeline based on working hours, time off, priorities, blockers, time budgets - and gives every project a live finish date. Change one thing and every date moves with it.

Imagine the following scenario
You have a team of 3 people.
Each outputs 5 points of work per week. So your team has 15 points total.
You have 3 tasks, 5 points each.
15 points in total — exactly your capacity.
Should be finished by Friday, right?
You just assign tasks to team members and the project will be done by Friday.
Right. Until you introduce dependencies.
Task A blocks B and C, so nobody can start their part until Alice finishes hers. Suddenly the whole project takes two weeks instead of one, and two team members have nothing to do.
And that is one of the many reasons why your projects get late even when you estimated each task and added margin for error.
And in practice, things get even more complex.
Priorities, vacations, overtime, time budgets, and projects that blend together — all at once.
That is why we built Planymatic.
It is not your fault that you deliver later than expected. Estimation is hard. Planning is hard. And Planymatic was designed and built by managers for managers to make planning and managing teams easier.
The three hard-to-answer questions suddenly become easy.
Pick a question. Watch the plan answer it.
No meeting, no spreadsheet. Every project carries a finish date that already accounts for everything your team has going on.
Live today: the estimated finish dates, recalculated from your team's real capacity every time anything changes. Coming next: seeing the difference side by side, like above, without committing the change first.
One screen. The whole team. No dashboards to maintain.
Not a board to groom, not a burndown to interpret. One view tells you how you're tracking against your time allocation goals, when each project lands, and what every person should pick up next.
The whole concept in a few bullet points.
Your team has capacity
For each team member you tell the system which days of the week they are available and how many hours they work each day. The estimates will take all of that into account.
Your team also has time budgets
Decide what share of the team's time each kind of work deserves. Every estimate on the page respects those shares.
Each budget has one prioritized list
No labels, no scores, no arguing about what P2 means. Drag things until the order is right. The order is the priority.
Anything breaks down as deep as you need
Split a project into pieces, and those pieces into pieces. Only the smallest tasks carry an estimate, so nothing is guessed twice.
Every task gets an optimistic and a pessimistic estimate
No single-number guesses. Give each task a minimum and a maximum complexity in whatever unit your team already thinks in. In Settings you tell the system how many real hours one unit is worth, and the simulation does the rest: two numbers in, a date range out.
Some tasks may block others
Point one piece of work at another and the schedule automatically respects it.
You can also mark which tasks are only suitable for specific people
This is especially helpful if your team has a diverse seniority, expertise or access levels. Some tasks may only be done by someone with specific qualification and our system is designed to account for it.
Everything else — the dates, the recommendations, the tradeoff answers — falls out of those facts automatically.
Your plan knows that people have lives.
Set everyone's working hours once, then override individual days when reality happens — a vacation, an early finish, a weekend of catching up. The finish dates are recalculated from those hours, not from a guessed velocity.
Live today: save the overrides and every estimated finish updates immediately. Coming next: the day count against the previous plan, before you save.
Plan in it, or work in it.
Planymatic works as a pure planning tool for one person. It also works as the place your team spends its day.
Write the spec together, in real time
Two people in the same description at the same time. Select a sentence, start a thread, resolve it — exactly like Google Docs, except the conversation stays attached to the work instead of drifting off into a chat channel.
Everyone knows what to pick up next
Click any name and you get what they're on now, then what they should take next so the team hits its targets. Ordered by priority, by capacity, and by what is actually unblocked — not by who shouted loudest in standup.
The fair questions.
How does the estimation work?
Each piece of work can have a minimum and a maximum complexity, and the simulation turns that into calendar dates using your team's real availability. You never type a date, and you never re-type one when the plan changes.
Is this another Jira?
No. Planymatic isn't trying to serve everyone unlike Jira. Actually, it was born out of frustrations with Jira and it's complexity. Planymatic was built to be as simple as possible for teams where every project is unique. You get one view for your team where you can easily see: what are the priorities, what is going to be done and when, who should do what and if your team is allocating their capacity the way you need them to. Built based on experience with managing teams in tech companies.
How accurate are the estimates?
Generally the more you break things down, the more accurate the estimates get. But unlike with other softwares, you don't have to try to calculate the estimated project finish date based on your burndown charts etc. It is much more accurate than that because it runs a simulation of how the work will actually be done based on your team's real availability and each task's constraints and prequisites.
Does my whole team have to switch tools?
No. Plenty of value comes from using it alone as a planning tool: break the work down, set the budgets, and answer the timeline related questions with something better than a spreadsheet. Invite the team when you want the live collaboration and the recommendations. Try planning just one project and see for yourself.
Is it really free?
Yes, it is currently free. Right now I need first teams and honest feedback far more than revenue. If that ever changes, you get 30 days notice before anything becomes billable.
